We offer the training required by the State of Florida to obtain your concealed weapons permit, absolutely FREE. Our goal is to train every law abiding citizen who wishes to carry a weapon in order to defend themselves and their family at no cost to the student!
Experience
Myself, my wife Donna, and 3 sons Jeremy, Justin and Bobby moved to Dixie County in 1991 from Pinellas County and have called Dixie our home ever since. I started my career with the Florida Department of Corrections and eventually to include Dixie County Sheriff's Department.
- I've enjoyed 25+ Years Law Enforcement training experience while employed by the Florida Department of Corrections and serving as a Dixie County Deputy
- 5 years Training Sergeant at FDOC and Certified NRA Instructor
Held Instructor certification through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in:
- Firearms
- Defensive Tactics
- Medical First Responder
As an Instructor for Lake City Community College in all three disciplines and General classes Instructor for:
- Law Enforcement Basic Recruit Academy
- Correctional Basic Recruit Academy
- Medical First Responder
As well as Career Development courses offered through Lake City Community College for Law Enforcement and Correctional Officers.
We started Tippin Firearm Training Academy over 3 years ago when we saw the violence in this country getting worse. We realized it was NOT going to get better, only continue to grow until we as law abiding citizens stand up and defend ourselves.
